A variety of arts and crafts can be seen every weekend at Scarab Village, in Sedgefield. The market has a discern of quality artwork, crafted by people with exceptional talents. Time spent here is a brief escape from modern rush and noise. Holidaymakers, day visitors and tourists can leisurely spend time strolling from stall to stall.
It reminds you of Frank Zappa’s famous quote:
“ Art is making something out of nothing and selling it.”
Each stall has it’s own special characteristic look and the market offers a vast selection of arts and craft. Here you find anything from gifts, clothes, beads, souvenirs, art, jewelry to mouthwatering food. The products of ancient trades like home-made cheese and hand-made paper are also on sale here.
It is home to Sedgefield’s weekly Drumming Event on Friday's and the stalls at Scarab Market can be visited every Saturday morning.
